About CM Care Ltd

Background/history

C M Care Ltd was formed in 2005 by its current Director, Christina Margeison. She was a manager of a private residential care home for people with learning disabilities in Wandsworth and believed there was a better model of care and accommodation in supported living.

This allows an individual to maximise their potential by experiencing the freedom of living in their own self contained rented accommodation in the community, but with the reassurance of a dedicated visiting support worker whose help is tailored through an agreed Support Plan. This Support Plan aims to maximise the individuals’ abilities, responsibility and personal growth potential. Risks are measured and taken where a learning experience is needed, but there is always someone there to support when necessary.

Christina started in a modest way but over time the services she provided became increasingly popular with social services and C M Care grew to where it is today, Spring 2012, a thriving organisation with 82 service users, all with their own accommodation in Wandsworth, and their own dedicated support worker.

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire and support Service Users to achieve their goals in life. We aim to access our clients individually to give the right support where necessary; inspiring their power and energy to achieve their goals. We want to raise their inspirations to what they can realistically achieve and be part of their community living independently, whilst maintaining positive and nurturing relationships. Encouragement and support is a priority within our mission for all our service users.

Philosophy

We understand that each service user is an individual and unique. We believe in promoting service users’ rights; their rights to Privacy, Equality and Diversity; free from intrusion or unwelcome attention. We ensure that our records of the service provided are seen by those with legitimate need to know, and the explicit permission of the individual.
